CORE 2024 Conference

Centrum výzkumu Řež extends a warm invitation for your participation in the upcoming CORE 2024 Conference, scheduled for November 28-29, 2024, in Řež at the Conference Center of UJV. The CORE 2024 will focus on advancements in research, development, and innovation in the areas of the safe processing, optimization, and storage of radioactive and hazardous waste. The program will also include the achievements and lessons learned from recent projects of the external users that accessed CVR Open Access Research Infrastructure CICRR.

New European Partnership CONNECT-NM

The Research Centre Řež s.r.o. has become part of the prestigious CONNECT-NM consortium (Coordination of the European Research Community on Nuclear Materials for Energy Innovation). This partnership aims to advance the development and qualification of advanced nuclear materials, which are essential for safe and sustainable nuclear energy.

IAEA Workshop "Nuclear Materials Accountancy in Action"

On September 3rd and 4th, a workshop titled "Practical Nuclear Material Accounting" was held in collaboration with the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB). The workshop was attended by 15 experts from the Vienna headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who toured our key infrastructure and participated in expert lectures.

Workshop on Post-Irradiation Examination

In the last week of August, CVŘ hosted a specialized workshop focused on the properties of irradiated materials (Post-Irradiation Examination – PIE). The program was primarily aimed at students and young researchers, with an emphasis on the key role of irradiation experiments in nuclear safety.

Our research and development is focused on nuclear energy, reactor physics and technology, chemistry and materials and is used to support and service Czech and foreign organisations. The RCR is a research organisation according to Act 130/2002 Coll.

We present to you large research infrastructures - LVR-15, LR-0 and JHR-CZ reactors, complemented by systems of supporting laboratories and research facilities.

CICRR - Czech International Centre of Research Reactors

The basic mission of the journal, Jaderná Energie/Jadrová Energia (Nuclear Energy), is to contribute to sustaining the high standards of nuclear safety when using nuclear energy for non-war purposes. The journal is published in the Czech and Slovak languages; selected scientific and technical articles, abstracts and annotations are also published in English. The journal is released four times per year, with 400 printed copies available, and in an electronic format that is available on this website, free of charge.

Journal Jaderná energie / Jadrová energia

Energy Well is a patented small modular reactor developed by the Research Center Řež. The project uses the latest knowledge in the field of salt smelting technologies that come from the Czech Republic, thanks to grants from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
